Xeno Pictures is a Singapore-based film company founded in 2019 by producer/director Rifyal Giffari,
focused on the development and production of auteur and genre films in Asia.
Rifyal Giffari
Director
Rifyal Giffari is a Singaporean writer and director.
He graduated from Nanyang Technological University's School of Art, Design and Media with a First Class Bachelor's in Digital Filmmaking. He is also an alumni of the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival's Fantastic Film School, the ASEAN-Korea Film Leaders Incubator (FLY) programme by the Busan Film Commission as well as the Singapore International Film Festival Youth Jury and Critics Programme.
He is currently developing his first feature film 'The Beast from the Trees', which was selected for the IT Project Market as part of the Network of Asian Fantastic Films in 2019 as well as a Singaporean music documentary series, being the only independent content creator funded by the Singapore Tourism Board's Fast Forward Fund.
His work focuses on dynamic, visual storytelling that champions naturalistic and memorable performances and narratives.
Angelina Marilyn Bok
Producer
Angelina is a producer based in Singapore. She represented the local film community in the established International Film Business Academy 2019 at Busan Asian Film School (AFiS), a creative producing and international film business academy in Korea where her project clinched the Busan Film Commission award. After which she became part of the New Asian Producers Network (NAPNet), an association of young Asian producers. In 2020, she was an alumnus of NAFF Fantastic Film School (Bucheon), BFI Producers Mentorship x IMDA Singapore, Asiadoc FFD (Forum Film Dokumenter x Docmonde France) and SGIFF Producers Network. This year, she's selected for the 2021 Rotterdam Lab.
She is currently developing two genre features and a personal documentary. She aims to collaborate with diverse filmmakers across borders to tell compelling stories, with a focus on nuanced portrayals of human relationships and their connection to nature, and the absurdity of the every mundane.
